The romantic comedy journey of Paani Puri that began just eight weeks ago has already reached its end. Yes, the show is going off-air. It is slated to bid adieu this Saturday (October 18).
A source from the production house informed, “The show is going off air on October 18.”
Star India VP Marketing and Communications Prem Kamath says, “Yes, the show is going off air. It was a joint decision taken by the production house and the channel. Since the show was conceptualised for just eight weeks, it is going off-air now.”
Contradicting Prem Kamath’s statement that the show was conceptualised to run for only eight weeks, lead actor Sumeet Raghavan said, “The news of Paani Puri coming to an end came as a shock to me. I was informed about this just few hours ago. It is sad as none of my shows have run for such a short span of time. We are a wonderful team. In spite of having the best of actors, the show is coming to an end in just one and a half month’s time.”
Bhavna Balsaver said, “I was informed just few minutes ago about it. I was simply told that my dates will not be needed for the forthcoming episodes as the show is going off air.”
Producer Vipul Shah said, “It definitely doesn’t feel good when a show comes to an end. It is like asking an accident victim about the accident.”
Unfortunately the, paani puri wasn’t as chatpata as much as a viewer would have liked it to be!
