Palampur Express derailed

Sony Entertainment Television’s much hyped re-vamping amidst much fan-fare too couldn’t salvage the situation for the channel. After Rani Padmini, yet another show is going to get axed in two months time. According to sources, Encompass Media’s Palampur Express will shut shop in the coming two months. The show right from its commencement couldn’t generate the required TRPs. Even actress Akangsha Rawat who stepped into Pooja Kanwal’s shoes couldn’t save an already sinking ship. Informs a source, “The only fiction that has worked well for the channel to an extent is Ladies Special. The show has been critically acclaimed but still couldn’t transform it into TRPs. Yet the interesting storyline has kept the show going strong. But one show that is soon going to get axed because of its ever plummeting TRPs is Roshan Abbas’ Palampur Express. The show just couldn’t strike the right chord with the audience.” We sent a text message to Danish Khan, Marketing Head Sony Entertainment Television, but he didn’t revert. Producer Roshan Abbas too didn’t respond to our text message.
