Star Plus’ Sapna Babul Ka-Bidaai is a hit with the viewers but recently all was not well on the sets of the show. The bride of the serial Parul Chauhan aka Ragini fainted twice on the sets of Bidaai. Parul informs, “Actually I don’t know what happened to me then. I had a breathing problem days before the shoot was to take place. The day when I had to actually shoot for the scene I fainted on the sets. May be it was because of the heavy lehnga and jewellery.” “Actually I knew that I was going to faint so I caught hold of my on-screen mother Vibha Chibber’s hand. When I fainted, Gajendra Singh ji came to my rescue. He put me on a sofa. All those who were present on the sets came to me and started rubbing my legs and hands. Utkarsha ji my on-screen mother-in-law got ginger and salt for me. Everybody was worried about me. Actually I wanted to tell them that I was fine but I was unable to speak,” Parul informs. Initially Parul was very excited about her on-screen marriage. She kept asking everyone right from the producer to the director details about her bridal make-up and costume. The dress that she wore was so heavy that she found it extremely difficult even to stand. At the end of five consecutive nights of shooting Parul was completely drained out and could well empathise with the plight of a real bride. So how worried was Alok Nath who treats her as his real daughter? Parul replies, “Oh! He was stunned by the whole thing. Babuji (Alok Nath) rushed to me and removed all my jewellery and started fanning me. He even called for the doctor. He sat besides me till I recuperated.” “Even Vibha ji got so worried about me. When I came out of my make-up van in my bridal outfit she told me that I was looking very pretty and feared if someone would cast an evil-eye. So when I recuperated she applied a kohl teeka behind my ear and on my left leg. She also tied a black thread on my left leg to ward off the evil-eye,” Parul adds. This really is one big happy family!
