Pati Brahmachari in Real Life Too? Actor Ashish Dixit Delays Anniversary Celebration

Ashish Dixit

MUMBAI: Actor Ashish Dixit, who is currently winning hearts as a celibate husband in Dangal TV’s hit show Pati Brahmachari, had to postpone his wedding anniversary celebrations due to a demanding shoot schedule. However, the actor made sure to make time for his wife, actress Shweta Kanoje, whenever possible.

Ashish and Shweta, who tied the knot in 2019, have always prioritized understanding and respect in their relationship—a bond that shines even brighter during these hectic times.

“Our anniversary came up during a back-to-back shooting stretch,” Ashish shared. “We’ve been shooting almost non-stop to meet tight deadlines. It’s a demanding phase, and I didn’t want the show to suffer just because of my commitments. As much as I wanted to plan something special, I knew the work had to come first this time.”

But despite the change in plans, love and support never left the room. “Thankfully, Shweta understood completely,” he smiled. “She knows how important this role is for me—playing a celibate husband is not just about delivering lines or expressions. It’s mentally layered and physically challenging, and she’s been nothing but encouraging throughout. We’ll celebrate soon, just on our timeline. That’s the beauty of our bond—we don’t need a date on the calendar to make each other feel special.”

As someone who belongs to the same industry, Shweta Kanoje relates deeply to the pace, pressure, and unpredictability of the job. “Being an actress herself, Shweta knows how the television world works—how call times stretch, scenes shift, and personal time sometimes takes a backseat,” Ashish said. “And because she’s lived that life too, we’ve built our relationship on mutual respect for each other’s work, space, and passions. That understanding is what keeps us strong, even when life gets a little crazy.”

In Pati Brahmachari, Ashish plays a married man who has taken a vow of celibacy—an unusual and demanding role that requires both comic finesse and emotional discipline. Off-screen, Ashish has immersed himself fully in the character, even following a self-imposed “no touching” rule on set to maintain authenticity.

“It’s not just about acting—it’s about living the character,” he explained. “But at home, I’m just a husband who tries to make up for lost time whenever I can.”

True to his word, Ashish made the most of a rare day off by taking Shweta out for a quiet, relaxed outing. “We stepped out, spent some quality time together—it was simple, but special,” he smiled. “She’s incredibly supportive and understands the demands of my work.”

While the grand anniversary dinner may be on pause, the love and mutual respect between Ashish and Shweta are thriving. Their story is a refreshing reminder that with the right partner, even a busy day can feel like a celebration.
