MUMBAI:TellyChakkar has been at the forefront of reporting on Vini Yards’ upcoming project on SAB TV. The makers have finalized Bollywood actor Karanvir Sharma, who was seen in Zid (2014) as the male lead.
As per the latest updates, the makers have roped in a few more actors for their comedy-drama.
TV actress Anjali Gupta, who has been in the industry for a while now, will play a pivotal role. The Pehredaar Piya Ki fame actress will supposedly play the lead’s mother. She was last seen in Jiji Maa.
In addition, Marathi actor Abhay Kulkarni will play another interesting character. Abhay has films like Sanju and Rustom to his credit. As per our sources, he will play a South Indian character. His on-screen wife would be portrayed by Anita Kulkarni.
The hunt for the female lead is still on.
When we contacted Anjali she said, ‘I can’t comment anything on this right now.’ We couldn’t reach out to Abhay for a comment.
The Ashvini Yardi show is an interesting take on the relationship of a father-in-law and a son-in-law. The series has been in the making since a few months now. Popular actor Manoj Joshi will play the sasur in the story. Avinash Sachdev was the first choice for the show; however, overnight, a fresher face, Karanvir Sharma, was brought in.
