Phooli is back in Balika Vadhu

Balika Vadhu will soon move away from the Jagya-Anandi story to Phooli’s track. Phooli who became a widow at a very young age has been going through ill treatment by the society. As per our source, “We are now going to concentrate on Phooli’s track once again. She has grown up just like Jagya (Shashank Vyas) and Anandi (Pratyusha Banerjee) but is not mentally stable. She keeps posting letters to herself and the other villagers consider her mad. Her loneliness has forced her to do things like these. Worse, there are people around her wanting to take advantage of her. Someone will try raping her after which she will not be permitted to move out of her house.” A person from the Balika Vadhu team on the condition of anonymity said, “We want to highlight the fact that even in this day and age widows are sometimes ill treated by the society.”
