Many actors believe in securing life and have an alternate business to have a secured future.

MUMBAI: An actor's life is not easy. However, this profession doesn't guarantee long-term stability as it comes with lots of sacrifices and the shelf-life of an actor is short. While many get busy in this glamour world, some believe in securing life and have an alternate business to have a secured future.  

So, here's a list of popular faces who have their own alternate businesses:

1. Arjun Bijlani 

Arjun has a lot of hit shows to his credit including Miley Jab Hum Tum, Naagin series, among others. The actor is quite successful in his career. However, Arjun has an alternate business. The actor owns a wine shop in Mumbai.  

2. Aashka Goradia  

Aashka has been part of many successful shows like Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Maharana Pratap, Baal Veer, among others. The actress is a proud owner of a beverage outlet ISAYICE in Mumbai.

3. Ronit Roy 

The handsome hunk is a heartthrob of several even at this age and is known for giving stellar performances in all his shows. In spite of having a successful career, Ronit has an alternate business and owns a security agency called ACE Security and Protection. 

4. Shabir Ahluwalia  

The Kumkum Bhagya actor is one multi-talented star and has aced in many things over the years. Be it acting in films, TV or playing cricket, Shabbir is an all-rounder. The actor is a co-owner of a production house-Flying Turtles. They have produced TV shows like Ganga Ki Dheej and Savitri. 

5. Hiten Tejwani  

The actor is known for his role Karan in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Hiten is one of the most popular actors of the small screen. Hiten too has an alternate business and owns a restaurant named Barcode O53.  

The actor said, "My idea of opening a restaurant was important. The whole point is that I couldn't have been totally dependent on acting for my income...even though I want to remain in the field of entertainment forever. It's great to have something to fall back on. I don't come from a business family; so I thought of starting something so that my kids have some backing in future."
