The viewers have always adored the actors who played Ram and Sita on-screen in previous shows. Do you think your and Sanjay's jodi received the same response? How nervous were you?
Yes, I believe people have shown us a lot of love. To be honest, I never imagined that they would accept me as Sita. Being accepted in such an iconic role is a huge achievement for me—it means I did justice to the character. I just went for it, and it’s truly a big deal for me. I want to sincerely thank all the viewers for their immense love and support.
When you do a non-fictional show, there is a scope to improvise but here there isn't. How challenging is that for you?
Yes, shows like this are challenging because, in regular Hindi non-fiction shows, you can improvise as you like. One thing that I have truly learned and understood from Sita is the art of staying calm and composed even during tough times. Initially, I faced many difficulties since as Sita you have to react in a certain way and can’t get overboard. After 10 months of shooting, I feel I’ve reached a point where I have understood the depth of my character.
