Pratyusha Death: Police interrogates Saloni Sharma

Here comes another update from the Pratyusha Banerjee suicide story. The reportedly ‘other’ woman in Pratyusha and Rahul Raj Singh's lives, Saloni Sharma, has finally opened up and given a statement to the police about her involvement in the entire development. Saloni sharing her account stated that Pratyusha was responsible for creating a rift between her and Rahul. The Bangur Nagar Police station revealed to an entertainment portal, “Saloni has told the police that Pratyusha was once a very good friend and blamed her for distancing Rahul from her. As per Saloni, because of Pratyusha her relationship with Rahul had got bitter.” The murky crime story is indeed opening up more secrets that seems to never end. According to reports, around 15 persons known to Pratyusha have been interrogated so far. People close to the couple-family, friends, relatives, neighbours, house helps have all shared their statements with the police. With Saloni’s name cropping up now and then while questioning, Saloni was summoned by the cops. The actress has been alleged to barge into Pratyusha’s house and threaten her. But while giving her statement to Inspector Deepak Phatangare, Saloni shared that Pratyusha was her friend since four years. She also blamed Pratyusha to have come in between her and Rahul. When we called Saloni she quipped, “I have given my statement to the cops and have been co operating with them whenever needed. I will talk to you guys and share my ordeal soon.” We will wait for that Saloni... As readers would know Pratyusha committed suicide on 1 April by hanging herself in her home. Her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh rushed her to the hospital but she was pronounced dead on arrival. Post the last rites, Rahul has been admitted to a private hospital complaining of chest pain, depression and suicidal tendencies. The police has filed a case against him under sections 306 (abetment to suicide), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code and waiting for his discharge to arrest him.
