When asked about his character’s reincarnation as Prince Aladdin, Siddharth said, “The twist in the storyline is something no one ever expected. With Aladdin and Yasmine’s death to their rebirth as different individuals, the show will witness Aladdin and Yasmine rewrite their unfinished story. I was thrilled to learn that Aladdin as a character will undergo several changes. While he is the same Aladdin by heart but his mannerisms are different. As an actor it is always interesting to engage with something new and keep pushing your limits. This slightly new Aladdin has helped me step out of my comfort zone as well and pushed me towards viewing Aladdin in a new light. Prince Aladdin is a full of life, mischievous and spoiled for choice. ”

Talking about his new looks, Siddharth shared, “The best part about Prince Aladdin’s look is that not only they are royal, but they are really edgy and appealing. It has been created keeping today’s audience in mind at the same time it retains the essence of the era in the show. Aladdin not only has one but three new looks, which stand apart from one another. I personally love the black outfit of Aladdin. I think it is very modern and is closer to my personal style. Moreover, Aladdin being a royal blood, is also decked with precious jewellery.”

Every character in a story has a particular style that their viewers relate them with. Siddharth sharing his thought on the same, added, “Outfits play a major role in defining a character and the artiste as well. Our viewers recognize us in that attire and look. As an artiste, it helps me get into the character.

Prince Aladdin’s character is playful, young and energetic. So the look I am carrying is sharp with bright colors, accessories and a clean shaved neat look. It has been a pleasant change. The viewers are really appreciating my new look and I’m glad to receive such an overwhelming response.” The transformation isn’t just about the outfit and the makeup.

The biggest challenge and task for an artiste goes beyond that, and Siddharth agreed by saying, “As an artiste, the costume and the makeup is the first step while getting into the role. The greater challenge is to forget myself once I enter the set. Any emotion that I’m carrying needs to be replaced with what my character is feeling. It’s challenging but it’s my job as an actor. I strongly believe in keeping the emotions on-camera real and even refrain the use of activators to bring tears during emotional scenes. I always do my own stunts and I never memorize my lines and only go through them once. I try to understand what the emotion and situation is like and react through Aladdin’s perspective.”

When asked if he relates to his character on the show, Siddharth said, “Aladdin is playful and a go-getter and I think I am the same in my life. I have the same energy as them. I am playful most of the time and a go getter towards my dreams.”

The exceptionally talented, Siddharth started his journey as a child artiste while successfully making his way in people’s heart. He is dedicated to his work and wants to keep growing as an artiste.
