MUMBAI: Television personality and actor Priyank Sharma, a name now firmly etched in the world of Indian entertainment, recently opened up about the highs and lows of his journey through reality television.

Known for his charismatic presence and strong fanbase, Priyank first rose to fame through MTV’s youth-centric shows Roadies and Splitsvilla, later entering the national limelight with his stint on Bigg Boss Season 11.

In a candid interview, Priyank shared how each of these platforms played a distinctive role in shaping his career. Speaking about his early days, he said,"Reality shows can be career-defining if you perform well. MTV Roadies and Splitsvilla were absolute game-changers for me — something that doesn’t happen for everyone. But for me, it worked beautifully. These two shows literally transformed my life."

However, his experience with Bigg Boss was a stark contrast."When I entered Bigg Boss, I was just 23 or 24 — far too inexperienced for the complexities of the show. At that point, COLORS TV focused primarily on my personal relationships. I was too naïve to grasp the bigger picture, and unfortunately, not much else about me was showcased," he admitted.

Reflecting further, Priyank added, “Things outside the house were evolving too. Audiences were watching my other shows, but back then everything felt a bit scattered. I had no idea how the industry functioned, and I didn’t know how to position myself properly. But now, I’m in a much better place and happy to finally be having real conversations about it."

Now enjoying success across several web series and proving his mettle as an actor, Priyank is content with the path his career has taken — even with its unpredictable turns. His evolution from a reality show contestant to a sought-after digital performer speaks volumes about his resilience and talent.

There’s no doubt that fans loved watching Priyank across Roadies, Splitsvilla, and Bigg Boss, and despite the bumps along the way, he has managed to turn his early television exposure into a thriving acting career.
