Pulkit's dreaming films....

Pulkit Samrat shot to fame as the kanchi eyed hunk Lakshya from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Since then he has become a permanent eye candy for most young gals. But somehow lately, we haven't seen the chocolate boy in the soap after months of being the prime focus: remember the Lakshya-Krishna martial drama. We checked on him only to realise that the actor is traversing through TV in order to buy his ticket to Bollywood. Pulkit frankly states, "Well, I would love to do films. Films are every actor's aim, and I adore Hindi masala movies. I love wearing sweaters in deserts and half sleeves in knee deep snowy mountains. I have dreamt of all the action scenes, romance and the absolute drama that a Bollywood hero does. And I am so geared up as films were always topped my agenda." So what is he doing on the small screen then? "Television is an amazing rehearsing ground, I am practising my art!" he reveals. While on that note, I cannot help but ask for his reaction on Gautami as the new Tulsi, "I have not shot with her as yet, so I cannot comment on how she's faring as the new Tulsi. But Gautami is a good actress; I used to watch her show Ghar-Ek Sapna," says Pulkit. So does he miss Smriti as he had shared the screen space with her so many times? "It's not about missing anybody, it's just our profession. Like in films, once its over, actors move on to do different projects and meet again for some new ones. With television it's a little difficult to keep in touch as soaps go on, the time span is wider. However, I am glad that Smriti has moved on in life and that too with a bigger leap. She is now in the league of top producers," says Pulkit with a sense of awe. The younger generation has been given a break for a while as Gautami settles in as the new Tulsi for the audiences'. Pulkit will soon resurface to support and fight for Mihir and Tulsi against all the bahus of Virani parivaar.
