We usually come across stories of actors enacting real life crime stories on screen, but we recently encountered an actress who stood against it in her real life too.
Nazea Hasan Sayed better known as Sheela of Zee TV’s Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed (Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd) was attacked by a biker recently while she was on her way back home (Jogeshwari, Mumbai).
The incident happened late in the night a few days ago when Nazea hit the highway in an auto after wrapping up work at her sets on Mira Road (Mumbai).
The actress narrated, “I was too tired, and plugged the headphones in my ears and sat in the corner of the auto seat listening to music when a bike with two men came very close to the auto. I was put on alert immediately, but in a split second the man sitting on the back seat had already reached to grab my iPhone from my hand. His hand was on the phone, but so was mine. While he was trying to pull it towards him I did not let it go off my hand.”
After a struggle of nearly five minutes, the guy let go off her phone and sped away. Nazea expressed her sorrow over not getting them caught, stating, “I was busy pulling the phone towards me and when I finally had it in my hand, they had vroomed away. How I wish I had seen the bike’s number. I would have lodged a complaint.”
Before signing off, the actress gave out a message to everyone, “I think all of us should be alert as you never know what will happen. At the same time one must stay brave and fight back when such an event occurs.”
We are indeed proud of you, Nazea!!!
