Pyaar ka bandhan gets its fourth lead

Balaji’s new show Pyaar Ka Bandhan had been looking for its fourth lead since quite some time. Finally they have zeroed in on Karan Sharma who was last seen playing a blind man in Baa Bahu Aur Baby. Allegedly Karan Sharma is not very happy to bag the role of Aziz aka Chotu in Pyaar Ka Bandhanas he has lost a meatier role. He was finalised to play the lead in Balaji’s other show Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai, but was dropped later because he has very boyish looks. In Pyaar Ka Bandhan he will be playing Aziz, the youngest of all the four siblings and the role demands a young boy like Karan. In Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna hai he was to play Sumana Das’s love interest, but since he looked younger than Sumana he was shifted to Pyaar Ka Bandhan. Vikas Goopta, Creative Head of Balaji’s Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai confirmed the news and said, “Yes, Karan Sharma who was to play the lead in Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai is now playing the youngest of the four siblings in Pyaar Ka Bandhan”. When asked about the switch he said, “Actually we wanted an actor with more manly looks to play the lead in Bayttaab and Karan has boyish looks. He was more suitable for Aziz’s role and hence got finalised for the role”. Karan Sharma, who was initially very disappointed after losing out Bayttaab.. has finally come to terms with it. He says, “Yes, I am now playing Chotu in Pyaar Ka Bandhan and it’s a role specially made for me. I was to play the lead in Bayttaab but I was later narrated the role of Chotu. I was very disappointed to lose Bayttaab but after they said that the role of Chotu was specially made for me”. Elaborating more on his role he says, “Aziz is the youngest siblings of all the four and the role requires an actor with more boyish looks. I am a perfect fit for the role and I have had the final meeting with them today”. He adds, “The role is quiet challenging to me because it’s something I have never done before. I am required to play a muslim character and I will have to do a lot of home work. I am happy now and have accepted the fact that I was meant to play Aziz. Some things are just not meant for you in life”. So now Pyaar Ka Bandhan gets all its lead actors with Kritika Kamra playing Prateeksha and Mahesh Shetty playing Milind. Get gorgeous girl Lavanya Tripathi playing Aaraina and Karan Sharma playing Aziz, both of them are the younger siblings. Pyaar Ka Bandhan is said to take a leap in the coming days.
