The human mind has two responses to any painful situation- fight or flight. Geeta Kaul (Kishori Shahane) of Life OK’s Do Dil Ek Jaan (Saurabh Tewari and Abinav Shukla) has tragically lost her husband Ashok Kaul (Farooq Sheikh) and has had to relocate to Mumbai which is far away from her hometown- the ‘Heaven on Earth’- Kashmir Valley.
Her defense mechanism for dealing with this untimely death in her family is by suppressing the tragedy and making herself believe that she is on a vacation to her brother-in-law’s house in Mumbai and her husband is alive and well.
Though this may apparently seem like the flight response in reality, Geeta is a fighter. She is a strong lady who is adjusting the dust, heat, grime and alien environment of Mumbai. She is not letting her husband’s demise halt her life.
She is now the single mother to a teenage girl and a little boy. You’ve already seen her cute son Ishaan Kaul dreamily watching roadside cricket while solving mathematics problems. Though he is a studious looking bespectacled boy his mind isn’t on studies at all. This is indeed worrying his family as he after all has to secure admission in a Mumbai school.
You have also seen Raghu (Ayaz Ahmed) in a no nonsense yet loving way telling Ishaan that there is one person who can help him out with mathematics. Before he could mention the name of the person Rasika (Ridhima Tiwari) told him in a panicky manner that aaji had met with an accident.
In the upcoming episode Raghu will reveal that he has chosen Arshad Mian to teach Ishaan mathematics. Raghu is currently helping him as he is going through struggling times. Our source informed that before long Arshad will evolve as an important parallel lead.
Geeta who is a very loving and responsible mother will affectionately tell Ishaan that studies is far more important that playing. He will go nowhere if he has masti all day but become a nawab if he turns to his books instead.
