Rajan Waghdhare has mastered the art of tickling the funny bone of television viewers. The man who took humour to the next level with shows like Shriman Shrimati and Yes Boss has been roped in to direct Ammaji Ki Galli.
TellyChakkar spoke to the director and asked what magic he will weave to change the fate of the show. “The show has a nice storyline and all the actors are very talented. Still it failed to gain numbers and as a result was shifted to a new time slot. The show’s previous director Dharmesh Mehta had some other commitments so the channel called me to direct it. I will try to bring in some changes and incorporate my techniques of humour to keep the viewers engaged.”
“I feel the show’s humour was too realistic and it lacked energy. I have already talked to the actors and have told them about the importance of being lively and jovial on screen. I have spiced up the script a bit and hope that the viewers will like it when they watch it,” ends the director.
Hope Ammaji ki galli reverberates with laughter once again.
