Tellychakkar.com was the first to report about Ankita Sharma replacing Dimple Jhangiani in Director’s Kut’s Amrit Manthan on Life OK. Later we also went on to report that producer Rajan Shahi of Director’s Kut roping her for his upcoming telefilm project on Star Plus.
Dimple confirmed to Tellychakkar.com that she will play the role of a bubbly and positive college going girl, Anjali. She will be paired opposite Kushal Punjabi.
We asked Dimple if she bagged the role due to the Amrit Manthan fiasco? “Rajan ji is like my Godfather and he knew that I was very sad after what had happened, which was wrong. But then things were such that even he could not help it. People were telling me to accept it and be positive but I was quite low. But yes, their point that everything happens for the best was proved right within a few days when Rajan ji called me for the telefilm audition. I am so happy to be working again and best part is that here I am getting to play a girl of my age. I also don’t need to wear saris. I get to wear shorts skirts like I do in real life.”
Dimple goes on, “I am very happy to be a part of this set up for Rajan ji has spared no expense as this is his first telefilm, hence after an initial shoot in Mumbai the unit will leave for Patuadi palace in Delhi for a 10/15 days outdoor shoot on the 10th of this month.”
When we asked Rajan about the compensation part he texted back saying, “I don’t need to do that. Work is never given in favour or compensation at least by me.”
Well, we are just happy for Dimple. Keep wearing the smile… girl.
