In an interview with the well-known news portal, Rakesh Bedi claimed that the police were really helpful and that their problems were fixed in a week.
He said, “One should never shy away from going to the police. We went to them within 15 minutes and that's what helped us get the money back. We are happy and satisfied to get our money back and I thank the investigating team who helped us. Such cases are on the rise today and people have to be very alert. And if you still fall prey, then you should approach the police.”
Additionally, Ashok Konde of the Oshiwara Police Station explained how they were able to obtain Rakesh Bedi's wife Aradhana Bedi's money. He added that a third-party app debited the money from their account. To prevent additional transactions, the police contacted the third-party app right away and asked them to reserve the money.
The police officer said, “They did that and that's how they got her money back. We are still investigating who is behind this, but the good thing is that we have retrieved their money.”
Rakesh Bedi’s wife Aradhana received a call from a miscreant claiming that they had accidentally taken money out of her account and wanted to return it.
Aradhana Bedi was aware of it and declined to send the OTP. She was alerted, but the money had disappeared from her account. The couple called the police right away as a result.
