MUMBAI: Shrimad Ramayan is one of the most successful and loved mythological shows on television.
Sujay Reu is a well known actor of the television industry and he has a good fan following.
He is best known for his roles in serials like Shastri Sisters, Siya Ke Ram, Baal Shiv – Mahadev Ki Andekhi Gatha, Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum etc.
These days he is making headlines for his role in the show Shrimad Ramayan where he essays the role of Lord Ram.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him what he thinks of Ranbir Kapoor playing Ram on the big screen and what are the challenges he faces in essaying the character of Ram.
What drove you in signing this new project ? Was it the story or your character?
When I was offered the role of Sri Ram I don't think any actor could have refused the role and I felt I am fortunate and I feel Lord Ram's blessing was with me that I got the role so there was no hesitation in accepting the role and this opportunity.
What were your challenges while shooting this mythological show?
Fortunately this is not my first mythological show. I was already part of one so I was aware about the culture and how you need to work on your speech. I was aware about it and luckily my Hindi is good so the diction part was fine. The part of the costume takes time to adjust as initial days the costumes and jewellery is so heavy that you face a bit of problem to shoot because of the heat and there is a lot of chaos on the set, by then you get use to it as with practice you get better and now I am used to it and I don't face any issues.
As we all know that Ramayan is being made in Hindi cinema and Ranbir Kappor is playing the role of Ram, do you think he is the right choice for it?
It's a perfect casting because Ranbir Kapoor is an exceptionally good actor and when you visualise him as Lord Ram he has the protagonist in his eyes and the composure in his personality. He is such a good actor and I am sure he will do full justice to the movie.
Well, there is no doubt that Sujay Reu does full justice when he plays the role of Ram in Shrimad Ramayan and the audience has given it a thumbs up.
