Rashmi Sharma talks about her post-marriage relationship with hubby Pawan Kumar

Rashmi Sharma, better known as the producer of well-known shows like Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Sasural Simar Ka and Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein, got married to her long-time boy friend, director Pawan Kumar on 28 June (2012). Hence we got in touch with the producer to know about her life post marriage. Talking about her wedding, Rashmi said, “It went really well and I am back to work now. One week, post marriage was really happening and life looks pretty exciting now.” So was it a traditional wedding? “Yes, it was a traditional one with sangeet, mehendi and a North Indian wedding.” Did she manage to take out some time out of her busy work schedule to go for her honeymoon? “No the honeymoon has been postponed. We didn’t get time to go out anywhere.” Ask her where do they plan to go and she quipped, “It’s too personal.” Elaborating about her love story, she said, “I have known Pawan for six to seven years now. Initially, we just knew each other as colleagues of the same industry. Later we became friends and gradually this friendship developed into a feeling of love for each other. And today we are happily married.” Have things changed for the better post marriage? “Since we knew each other for so long, nothing was hidden from me. Hence, we are still the same people.” Furthermore, though nothing had changed between them, Rashmi has brought in a drastic change in herself. “Yes, I wear more of Indian clothes with chuda, sindoor and maglasutra. I try and dress up like a newly married lady as much as I can. In fact, I had been dressing my actors that way, but it’s nice to see this change in me.” We wish Rashmi a happy married life.
