MUMBAI: Actor Samir Onkar, who plays the role of Samarth Goenka in Rajan Shahi's "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai", will soon be entering the popular show again and says it's like his second home. 

"There is always a feeling of coming to my second home when I am on the 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' sets. So I am pretty much excited and its like getting your life again. It's a great feeling working with Director's Kut Productions again," he said.

The actor says he loves his character Samarth and added, "it has a lot of shades within, so the expectation is very high."

Samir will also be sporting a new look for the upcoming sequence and said, "I have changed my look a little. Actually, it's like a blessing in disguise as we were locked in our homes during the lockdown, so I had tried different looks, and finally, I loved this one with little longer hair, which is looking amazing on-screen."

The show went on-air on July 13, but the actor joined the shoot only recently and appreciated the COVID-19 precautionary and safety measures put in by Shahi and his production house.

"I am taking all the necessary precautions at the shoot and at home too. And hats off to our production house and Rajan sir for their arrangements keeping in mind this Coronavirus pandemic," he said

Samir also shared his lockdown experience and said, "This lockdown was a great teaching for me, and I got to do so many things that I couldn't do in the last few years because of the lack of time."

"Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" airs on Star Plus at 9:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. It features Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in lead roles.
