Film and TV actor Indrajit Chakravarty is extremely happy these days!
Any guesses why?
Well the actor, who is currently playing the male lead in Zee Bangla’s Dweep Jwele Jai, is in Shillong now.
Shillong, also known as ‘The Abode of Clouds’, is the home town of the actor, where he grew up.
An ecstatic Indrajit expressed to Tellychakkar.com, “I have come to my hometown after almost two years. It feels great to be back home.”
“With erratic shooting schedule, it becomes difficult to catch even sound sleep in the night on a regular basis. It was a much needed break. I am enjoying every bit of my family time here,” he added with a contented smile.
The actor said that he did not inform his family in Shillong in advance about his visit.
“On Ashtami, I reached Shillong. It wasn’t pre-planned. Also, I wanted to surprise everyone so I landed up here without informing anyone,” he quipped.
So, apart from the family time, what are the other things that Indrajit is relishing there?
He shared, “I had lunch with my family at a rooftop restaurant. I went to Cherrapunji (notable for being the wettest place on Earth) also. Although due to rain, it was't possible to get down from the car but I enjoyed my time at the place.”
And what about that special home made food? He replied, “Oh yes, I ate chital macher muitha (a fish dish) after a long time.”
Indrajit will resume his work from 16 October.
“I will return to Kolkata on 16 October. I will head to the studio straight from the airport. It feels as if these particular days are ending so fast,” he said.
We understand your feelings, Indrajit!
