What comes to your mind when we say the names of TV stars like Renuka Shahane, Anoop Soni and Smita Bansal? You may say that you see the last two names in Colors’ Balika Vadhu. But that is not the only common factor. In fact, Renuka and Smita have worked together in Star Plus’ Kora Kagaz. Not only this, Anoop was in Renuka’s directorial debut in Zee TV’s Rishtey. And, Smita and Anoop first came together onscreen in Sony’s Jeetey Hain Jiske Liye. And there’s more. Apart from all these common links, the three actors are best of friends.
“Yes, we three are great friends. In fact, I would like to say that I am blessed to have such friends in my life,” reveals Anoop Soni. Smita adds more to it: “We three meet very often. We go to each other’s houses. Chit-chat about lives; have coffee and enjoy each other’s company to the core.” Not only this, they have great family relations as well. “I also attended her (Smita’s) private marriage in Jaipur,” says Renuka.
The trio last met on Renuka’s birthday in November. Renuka says, “I became great friends with Smita while working in Kora Kagaz. And with Anoop, I bonded really well in Rishtey.”
And that is not it; the trio is all praises for one another. Smita says this: “Anoop and I are friends for almost seven years now. The best thing about Anoop is that he is very honest with me. We enjoy each other’s company and it was great to have him as a co-actor opposite me. And I share an amazing bond with Renuka.”
Anoop doesn’t lag behind. “Smita and I share a very comfortable bond. And Renuka is a fabulous actor and director.” Incidentally, Renuka’s husband Ashutosh Rana and Anoop are college mates.
And while the television industry is full of stories of friendships going kaput, looks the trio’s friendship will be never-ending. “I know that we three are friends forever,” sums up Anoop.
Cheers to your friendship!!!
