REVEALED! Here’s why Kanika Mann will not play grown-up Bondita in Barrister Babu

Barrister Babu is currently one of the most popular television shows. In an interview, Kanika Mann shared why she will not play grown-up Bondita in Barrister Babu.

MUMBAI:  Barrister Babu is currently one of the most popular television shows. The intriguing story coupled with entertaining drama has been keeping the viewers hooked to the TV screens.

The show is set to take a leap. And the news that actress Kanika Mann would be playing the grown-up Bondita after the leap had been doing the rounds for a while now. Though it was almost confirmed that Kanika had been finalised to play the role of the grown-up Bondita, later there were reports that the actress has backed out of the show.

Talking about the development, Kanika told Times of India, “Yes, it is true that as of now I am not playing the grown-up Bondita though I was really excited to be a part of the show." The actress added, "I was finalised for the role but I had not signed the contract. The leap was taking some time and meanwhile I got this real good offer for an OTT project. I had a word with the producer of the show Shashi (Mittal) ma'am before taking up the OTT project and she was okay with the decision." Meanwhile, report has it that the makers have started auditioning actresses again for the role. Names of Meera Deosthale and Adaa Khan are doing the rounds. Incidentally, if the leap gets delayed and Kanika gets free from her other shoot, she just might be the one again to play the role.

Kanika told the daily, "Shashi ma'am had said that if my OTT project wraps up before the leap, they will cast me in this role.”
