Revealing the cast list of Colors' Durga

Tellychakkar.com was the first to report about the airing date (17 December 2012) of Colors’ Jai Jagjanani Maa Durga. Now here we have the list of the star cast of the show. Actors who are part of the project are Daya Shankar Pandey. Daya in Durga will play the role of rishi (saint) Shot. He gained fame via his stint in Sagar Arts’ Mahima Shani Dev Ki. Next on the list is Tarakesh Chauhan (last seen in Balika Vadhu) and he will don the make up to enact rishi Ved Vyas. Kunal Bakshi–of Meera fame – and Amit Pachori –currently seen in Life OK’s Ram Leela – will be seen as Indra and Shiv (Batuknath) respectively. Other names include… Nitin Prabhat, last seen in Chandragupta Maurya, as Kaalkeyi, Kiran Sharda, seen doing episodics of Crime Patrol, as Maha Shakti and, Manish Bishla of Dwarkadheesh fame has taken the responsibility to portray Agni Dev. As per a reliable source the production house is all set to commence their shoot from today (23 November 2012). And as reported earlier Durga will replace Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd’s Kairi at the 7 pm slot. Daya Shankar Pandey confirmed his entry and said, “I will be in the first two episodes and I am doing it for Prem Sagar ji. My character is that of a rishi (saint) who narrates the story of Durga to the audience.” “Yes, I’ll be playing Ved Vyas who has written about Durga,” said Tarakesh Chauhan. Kunal Bakshi, Kiran Sharda, Manish Bishla and Amit Pachori too confirmed being a part of the mytho series. Furthermore, it has been earlier reported that Piyali Munshi, Komal Sharma, Raginee Rishi, Surbhi Shukla and Dheeraj Miglani have also been signed by the makers.
