MUMBAI: Romiit Raaj is currently seen in Star Plus' long-running drama series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
The actor is playing the role of Rohit Poddar in the show who is an advocate.
Romiit's on-screen pairing with Garvita Sadhwani has become everyone's favourite.

Romiit shared his excitement for the same and said, ''Yes, I am very excited to see India VS Australia. I think the best team that performs today will win. India is a very good team and so is Australia. For fans like us it is a treat. I wish I could see this match live because I think some of the best cricketers and legends are playing. I go every year for IPL matches to Eden Garden. I love going there and watching it live. The crowd over there with almost one lac capacity is great fun. Last year, we went to watch the match along with my wife. She wanted to watch Virat Kohli playing live. So, I took her there for KKR Vs RCB. I wanted to see Dhoni play so, I saw CSK Vs KKR a year before that.''
He added, ''I wish I could see India VS Australia live so that I can see Virat and Rohit in the field. Even Shubman, Hardik and all these cricketers will be in one team competing against the other country's players.''
''Today is an off day for me so me and my dog Messi are going to watch the match together.''
Romiit also mentioned how it is amazing to go to a stadium and watch the match live.
He said, ''We sit in a box which is like a club and it is very comfortable as we can enjoy watching the match by gorging on food and drinks. It's really good fun and the energy out there is amazing and so is the vibe where people are cheering their favourite players. I think no one should miss it. It's like an entertainment which takes you to another world. It is a mind-blowing fun.''
Furthermore, revealing his thoughts and excitement of India competing against Australia, he said, ''I feel India's cricket team is super strong and it is the no. 1 team in the world today. I just feel that India VS Australia or any other country which is stronger is more fun to watch. There is always a hype of India VS Pakistan but that competitiveness also has to be there. So, today's match is going to be more special. I would say India-Australia will be any day more competitive than India-Pakistan.''
Lastly, Rohit Sharma being fat-shamed by a member of a political party has left the viewers and the cricketer's fans outraged.
Sharing his views on this, Romiit said, ''I think Rohit Sharma has been such an amazing cricketer. He serves the Indian Cricket team so well. We will always be grateful and thankful to him for that. He knows the right time to retire. I am sure when it comes to his fitness levels, he knows it well and also the Indian cricket team knows it. So, as a viewer, I would love to watch him and play as much as he can. I wish him all the very best.''
