SAB TV to air short films from November

J.D. Majethia, Ravi Rai and Vipul D Shah
SAB TV, which is tickling its fans for years now, is all set to launch a new show Sab Ka Evening Show that will go on air from November 9 2011 every Saturday for one and a half hour. The channel has managed to climb up on the TRP ladder with cult comedy shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, F.I.R., Lapataganj and others. Widening the comic platform, Sab Ka Evening Show will present a series of short films made by renowned names like J.D. Majethia, Ravi Rai, Vipul D Shah and others. Oye Bunty Babloo Oye, Gadi Bula Rahi Hai, Kya Hoga Is Desh Ka, are some of the flicks that will entertain movie buffs. The films are based on day to day life issues with a comic touch. We talked to SAB TV Business Head Anooj Kapoor who said, “I am honoured to have such a great show. I know the short films are nothing when compared to Bollywood films, but when it comes to content even an ad film works.” Anooj further told to us that as part of the series the channel will air 20 films over a span of 20 weeks. “If it works well then we will come up with more films.” This is one initiative which will add more credibility to the comic genre in Indian television.
