Creative Eye Ltd.’s new concept with a mythological, historical, fantasy based blend mixed with comedy, Betaal aur Singhasan Battisi on SAB TV has been the talk of the town for the last few weeks.
Yesterday, we at Tellychakkar.com wrote about Marathi actress Khushboo Tawde playing the love interest of Betaal (Sandeep Aanand) in the new series.
Now, we have more information regarding the cast.
Noted actor Ashutosh Sinha who essayed the role of Guddu in SAB TV’s Lapataganj has been roped in to play the closest buddy of Betaal.
Ashutosh who is also a script writer has written a book called Laughter Club; its second edition will go into print very soon. Also, he has acted and written the script for the world-acclaimed play The Perfect Husband starring Poonam Dhillon and Sooraj Thapar. Presently, its sequel, The Perfect Wife, also written by Ashutosh is being played all across the world.
In Betaal aur Singhasan Battisi, Ashutosh will play the role of Mastishk Kumar, who would always help Betaal by giving him solutions to his problems. However, every time the problem will turn bigger owing to the advices given by Mastishk. But this will never stop Betaal from seeking his friend’s advice.
Also, joining the show will be another noted actor Manish Mishra. Manish who was seen in Lapataganj and FIR will play the role of Vivah Kundal, a match maker by profession who would want Betaal to get married. He would be the one who will want Betaal to wed Saundarya Lekha (Khushboo).
When contacted, Ashutosh told us, “Yes, after being in Lapataganj for so long a time, it is a privilege to work for the same channel again. I will play the role of Betaal’s best friend and advisor.”
Manish when contacted, said, “Yes, I will play an important role in Betaal aur Singhasan Battisi.”
