These are truly joyous times for Sachin. The actor has recently shifted to his new house in Chembur. Plus, he’s stepped into Sony’s Waqt as the male protagonist. An elated Sachin says, “I’ll be playing the male lead in Sony’s Waqt. There were other offers but I turned them down as I liked this character. I even refused a reality show for it.”

An elated Sachin says, “I’ll be playing the male lead in Sony’s Waqt. There were other offers but I turned them down as I liked this character. I even refused a reality show for it.” Speaking on his character, he says, “I play Joy, the love interest of the lead protagonist Rudra (Payal Sarkar) . It’s for the first time that I’ll be playing a tapori (scoundrel) Joy is a pretty weird character. Every time he tries to act smart, he ends making fun of himself. For instance, in one scene, he tries saving Rudra when she’s standing in a four feet pit of water. My character is little similar to that of Aamir Khan in Rangeela.” When asked why he snubbed Zee TV’s reality show, Sachin replied, “Well, I’ve got a daily (Waqt) and a weekend show (Naaginn), that leaves me with nowaqt (time) for a reality show.’ Here’s hoping Waqt will ring in the good times for Sachin.
