MUMBAI: Sunny Deol made a major comeback with Gadar 2 in 2023 but even after such a massive collection at the box office, he wasn’t done. Sunny Deol has come back with a banger once again. Yes, we are talking about ‘Jaat’, the latest movie that has hit the big screens.
Fans of Sunny Deol were waiting for Apne 2 but before that, Sunny Deol announced Jaat. The first look of Jaat was enough to create high anticipation. The Gopichand Malineni directorial trailer connected perfectly with the audience as it conveyed the action, the aggression and the emotions very well to the audience.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Sunny Deol gave an update on Apne 2 and why it’s taking time. He even talked about how directors like Anil Sharma are very much needed by the corporates.
When asked about Apne 2, Sunny Deol said, “I hope it happens, genuinely. But kya hota hai ki kabhi koi cheez ban’ni hoti hai aur uski destiny hoti hai. Jab hoga tab zaroor banegi. Subject hai, bohot pyara subject hai. So let’s see. Let’s hope so.”
When asked if Karan or Rajveer would be in the sequel, Sunny Deol said, “One of us would be there.” On being asked if Anil Sharma will be associated with the movie, Sunny Deol immediately replied, “Obviously yes. He’s one of the finest directors we have. It is just that unfortunately humare corporate world ko yeh samajh me nahi aata. Woh toh main bhi samajh mein nahi aa raha tha fir Gadar ban gayi tab samajh mein aa gaya. But these are the directors who can give you these films which are larger than life, they set such music, they set such emotions, that ‘big cinema’ jo bolte hai na! They’ve got it all with them but somehow I don’t know why nobody is...kisi bhi aise ko bana le, uspe 100 Cr-200 Cr kharch degi aur wahan nuksaan hoga aur jaise main kehta hu aise directors hai inke saath karo because they’ve got the capacity, even if your movie is not big, it will be a bookshelf film… But let’s see, kuch keh nahi sakte.”
