Most Indian men aren't good cooks and trying to be one often lands them in trouble. Actor Sachin Shroff learnt his lessons the hard way. In his endeavor to please his on-screen wife Aanchal inHar Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai, Sachin cut his finger while chopping vegetables.
"I felt a jerk but didn't think it was too bad. So, I continued shooting. It was only after the scene got over that I saw blood oozing out from my left thumb. The accident took place at about 11.30 pm so there weren't any medicines nor could we arrange any first aid. Fortunately, other antiseptic in the form of turmeric, chuna was available. The next day, I went to the doctor and the wound required three stitches" says Sachin.
The actor is proud of the fact that he didn't let this minor tragedy affect his shot. "Everyone patted me on the back saying that despite the wound, I completed the scene. It was nice to get pampered by all" quips Sachin.
Anchal Anand, who plays Siddhi, had this to say, "We were enacting a sequence where, Gyan (Sachin) is cooking for his wife Siddhi, who's a bad cook. None of us realized what had occurred and it was only after the shot that we noticed it."
Both Anchal and Sachin confessed to being really bad cooks in real life too. "The only time I enter the kitchen is to make Maggie noodles" says Sachin. Our pretty lady Anchal has no hesitation in saying "My mother never lets me enter the kitchen. She says that as long as I'm living with her, she wouldn't even like me fetch a glass of water"
Let's hope that Anchal finds a Gyan in real life too.
