MUMBAI: Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali launched in October 2018 but had to wrap up in three months because of low TRPs.
Now, according to the media reports, several actors including Sonarika Bhadoria, Shahbaz Khan, Gurdip Punjj, Tassnim Sheikh, and Anand Goradia have raised their voice for non-payment of their dues.
The actors have demanded that they must be paid their remuneration, as they have worked on the show for almost six months. While speaking to Etimes, Sonarika, who played Anarkali in the show, stated that the production house owed her Rs 80 lakh, but she has been paid only Rs seven to eight lakh.

Therefore, the actress has decided to take the legal route. The report says while Shahbaz, Tassnim and Gurdip have over Rs 10 lakh pending, Anand’s pending dues add up to Rs five-six lakh. All these actors have now approached CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes’ Association) to look into the matter as producer Anirudh Pathak is not responding to them.
Shahbaz, who was seen in the role of Akbar, was quoted as saying, “We had started shooting much before the show launched. It is our hard-earned money and we should get it. Every time we try reaching the producer, he does not respond. We are all going through tough times, some of us sitting at home without work during the pandemic. Personally, I feel that this exploitation has to stop.”
Meanwhile, speaking about the actors' pending dues, Anirudh Pathak said, “I haven’t refused to pay, but because of the losses I incurred, I had to shut my own production house. Now, I am trying to earn as a writer and pay everyone. It will take time.”
