Saloni replaces Sugandha as host of Chhote Miyan Chapter 2

Saloni Daini has all along been the face of Chhote Miyan… A champion in its inaugural season, Saloni shone again as the winner of the subsequent Chhote Miyan Bade Miyan. So, how could Saloni be kept away from Chhote Miyan Chapter 2. The little dynamite has replaced Sugandha Mishra as the new host. While Saloni’s participation comes as no surprise one wonders why was Mishra replaced after three episodes? Sources have it that Sugandha wasn’t all that impressive as a host and thus the channel felt the need to replace her. Saloni has been the star of the Chhote Miyan series and thus one didn’t have to look elsewhere for a replacement. Mishra though offered a different take. She says, “The change in format has brought about this change. The makers now want only children on the stage. They want to show other things like children playing around with each other. Perhaps, I didn’t fit into their scheme of things. As it is I was contracted for few episodes.” We tried contacting Endemol India country head Deepak Dhar and even sent him a text message but he remained unavailable for comment.
