Actor Sandeep Anand has reentered Sanjay and Benaifer Kohli’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. Talking about his character, he says, ‘My character’s name is Puttan; he is Angoori's younger brother. He is the naughty child of the family. He is involved in small crimes that don’t harm anyone but for which, most of the time, he is behind bars. So, when he gets released from Jail, he comes to Angoori's house. He creates chaos in the lives of Tiwari and Vibhuti, and their regular nature to woo each other’s wives is interrupted. So, they want Puttan to go back.’
Talking about the nature of comedy shows on the small screen today, he says, ‘I have been part of comedy shows since more than a decade by God’s grace. I have been a part of such good shows that people still remember. I don't judge people on what they do, but for myself, I would say that I always try to do something unique that nobody has done. Yes, I watch other people’s shows, and I find nowadays, most of the content is repetitive. Most of the content is based on Hollywood projects. I think we are the second-largest country to produce media in the world after Hollywood. So, I think we have more talent in our country, so more creativity should come from our side.’
Ask him who his favourite comedian is, and Sandeep says, ‘Actually, I don’t follow anybody. But I watch everyone's work, as to do good, you have to gain knowledge. It helps me to learn, improvise, and improve. So, I don’t follow anyone, but I take knowledge and inspiration from everyone's work.’
Sandeep also shares a great association with Benaifer and Sanjay Kohli. ‘They are like family to me. I don’t have a financial background, and I come from a small town called Ujjain in MP. Somehow, they found me, and we started working together. I have been working for the last 8 years, and I think there is some sort of connection that binds us together and makes our understanding stronger. I think Sanjay and Benaifer Kohli are pure creative artists. They have a love for art,’ he says.
