Sanjeev Kapoor denies reports of his cameo

Cameo appearances have become a rage in the Indian television industry. Big names are roped in for cameos either to help a sagging TRP or to add spice to a show that has reached a plateau. It was a coup of sorts when Smriti Z Irani was brought in to play a small part in Zee’s Teen Bahuraaniyaan airing today. The latest to join the bandwagon is the popular chef Sanjeev Kapoor. He is to be roped in by DJ’s Tony and Deeya Singh in their latest Annu Ki Ho Gayee Waah Bhai Waah. He will be seen helping out the protagonist Anu with her problems. “Sanjeev would play the role of a Godfather to Anu. He would help her deal with her problems and pressures that she would face in the restaurant,” informs Deeya. But Sanjeev is denying all such reports about him doing a cameo on Annu Ki Ho Gayee…and has refuted the news completely. Sanjeev quips, “Such offers come to me daily. I am not making any appearance on any such show.” Sanjeev was last seen on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, a dance based reality show on Sony. Sanjeev started his television career as a host on Zee’s Khana Khazana and then he made a cameo appearance in Astitva, ek prem kahani. He also had a small role in the movie Monsoon Wedding. With Deeya Singh even reconfirming the news and Sanjeev denying the reports leave us completely fazed. Only time will tell.
