Yash Raj Films’ Seven , touted to be the ‘first sci-fi show of Indian television’ is reported to go off air in the coming weeks. But the actors of the show insist that it was just for 26 episodes and the shooting schedule is now coming to an end.
Ever since YRF launched five new shows in January, Seven and Powder had failed to generate viewer-interest. But Powder is believed to have shown signs of improvement since the past few weeks. Due to very low TRPs and with no signs of improvement, it seems the channel has now decided to wind up the show.
A source informs, “A few days ago a crew member was fired and was told that the show is winding up in a few weeks and hence a lot of people were not needed on the sets. The crew is now shooting the remaining last episodes of the show and everybody is very upset with the development”.
Another source from the show says, “We are told to shoot for the last few episodes and we will complete the shooting early next month. Everyone is upset here and we hardly take time out for our social lives. For now we are asked to complete our shoots and leave everything else behind.”
Bakul Thakker who plays an important role in the show says, “No, I don’t think the show is winding up. It was just a 26 episode show and we will complete shooting for it by April end or first week of May. I am told that the show will be on-air by June-July, but if there are any new developments, then I am not aware of it.”
Danish Khan, Marketing Head of Sony denied the news saying it was untrue. Shama Sikander, the leading lady of the show remained unavailable for comments.
