Shakti Anand in no hurry to do a soap

Often in life we are made to do things which we ourselves don't believe in or aren't comfortable with. Actor Shakti Anand, who is not a great believer of astrology, is required to speak about it in his breakfast show 'Good morning zindagi' on 9X. Says Shakti, "I don't believe in astrology or in numerology but an actor has to do what's given to him. However, I must confess that there exists a higher power which controls these things." Back after a vacation in Australia, Shakti Anand surprised one and all by taking up a breakfast show. He says, "I will not take up any soap for a few more months. Good morning Zindagi is a daily show too. The best thing about this show is that I'm required to give just 8 days in a month for it." Holidays are a rarity for TV stars. Shakti had this luxury after his show Ek Ladki Anjaani Si went off air recently. "I was looking for a break for more than two years. My wife Sai always complained that despite our marriage we've never been able to go for a honeymoon. After this trip to Australia, she's a happy soul," said Shakti. Describing his trip as a once-in-a lifetime experience the actor says, "We had a ball in Australia. We travelled to Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast. As we were driving most of the days I got to see the true essence of Australia. We indulged in water and adventure sports and even had close contacts with dolphins. It truly was a refreshing tour." Sai is already thinking about another vacation. Shakti says, "Sai is adamant on having another vacation. I'm contemplating on one for the New Year. I'm very keen on visiting Italy." Here's wishing the Anand's a second honeymoon.
