A page from the personal diary of Shakti Mohan Hello friends, I am back to aamchi Mumbai after having a great stint in New York. And today I am here to share some special memories of my journey till date. To begin with, let me tell you’ll that I hail from Delhi where I have stayed all along with my mom, dad and four sisters. I finished my schooling from BITS Pilani (Birla Institute of Technology and Science) boarding school, Rajasthan. Later, when my dad was transferred to Mumbai, we all shifted here. Here, I completed my MA in Political Science from St. Xaviers College. Since a long time, it was my long-standing ambition of becoming an IAS officer. But after coming to Mumbai, I changed my mind and became very solemn about dancing. In 2009, I graduated with a diploma in dance from Terence Lewis Dance Foundation Scholarship Trust. And soon after my training, I participated in a dance reality show Dance India Dance. I can proudly say that I was honoured as the winner of the show. After wining Dance India Dance, I got an opportunity to play the lead role as Kria in Channel V’s Dil Dostii Dance (D3). This show gave me both exposure and fame. It was heart breaking for me and my fans when I stepped out of the series as I wanted to pursue my career in dancing. While I was in the show, I was not getting enough time for myself, but all said and done; D3 will always be close to my heart as it is a great project. Recently, I appeared in an item song Aa Re Pritam Pyaare in Rowdy Rathore. It was indeed a pleasure working with Prabhu Deva. Enough about work… Let me now talk about my personal life. Well, I am a very simple and down-to-earth person. I don’t like to party a lot because I think it’s just a waste of time. I am a morning person; as soon as I get up, I start working on the ballet dance form since I have a studio in my house. Other than dancing, I like to read books and watch movies. Lastly, I would thank my parents and fans for loving me so much. Till date, I keep getting messages to come back to D3. But life goes on… and I believe in moving on. But may I request you all to keep loving me. Cheers!!!
