'Shaktiman' to be aired on POGO

India’s very own super hero <em>Shaktiman</em> is about to take flight on the POGO Network starting Monday 6 June, 2005. It will be a one hour daily aired at 6:00 pm. "It is about time", says Mukesh Khanna, the Show’s producer and the lead actor. Mukesh has donned the garb of <em>Shaktiman</em> for over 300 episodes for seven years and it was aired on DD National.
India’s very own super hero Shaktiman is about to take flight on the POGO Network starting Monday 6 June, 2005. It will be a one hour daily aired at 6:00 pm. "It is about time", says Mukesh Khanna, the Show’s producer and the lead actor. Mukesh has donned the garb of Shaktiman for over 300 episodes for seven years and it was aired on DD National. "All the episodes would be shown from episode one and though earlier we were on Doordarshan, this time around we will be on satellite channel and will touch an altogether new base of children as viewers. I am very happy that Shaktiman is being aired on the right channel at the right time - POGO," says a visibly excited Mukesh. Meanwhile, there are talks and plans afoot with Cartoon Network to bring out animated series of Shaktiman. If this happens, Shaktiman will as much popular as other animated super heroes like, Batman, Superman, Spiderman. “That is my dream, which should hopefully come true in the next few months; meanwhile it will be on the air on POGO, the parent channel. There are also plans afoot to bring out Shaktiman Comics and other merchandise,” adds Mukesh. So come Monday 6 June and children will have one more good reason to watch POGO.
