Sharad and Keerti Kelkar
A page from the personal diary of Sharad Kelkar Hello readers!!! I am Sharad Kelkar whom people relate as Dr Ashutosh in Kuch Toh Log Kahenge on Sony Entertainment Television. Hailing from Gwalior, MP, I completed my graduation and later did my MBA in marketing from the same city. I am a very simple, easygoing and friendly kind of a person. In my leisure hours, I like to sing and watch movies. The life changing moment for me was when I got married to Keerti. Before acting happened to me, I always wanted to be in the Defence services. But unfortunately, in my final test I got disqualified. I worked with Airtel in a part time capacity. Simultaneously, I worked as a gym instructor at Madhavrao Scindia's club in Gwalior. Later, I came over to Mumbai to try my luck. My first step to fame was when I participated in the Grasim Mr. India 2002. In a span of one month, I did 25 ramp shows after which there was no looking back for me. I have the honour of working for many ad campaigns for brands like Hero Honda, Skoda, Bharat Petroleum, Maruti Esteem, LG refrigerator amongst others. After lot of hard work, I got my first television break as the main lead role of Nahar Singh in Saat Phere. Along with the serial, I played Rudra Raizada in Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka. Then in Nach Baliye season 2 and Pati Patni Aur Woh, Keerti Kelkar and me worked together. Later, I hosted Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge in 2007. I also played the role of Thakur Digvijay Singh Bhadoria Ranveer in Bairi Piya. In 2010, I played the character of Abhay in the National Award-winning Marathi film Uttarayan. Currently I am enjoying working for Kuch Toh Log Kahenge. It’s a wonderful experience to portray the role of a doctor. Lastly, I like to thank my mom and dad for loving and supporting me and would like to request all my dear fans to keep loving me.
