MUMBAI: Radha Krishn is a mythological television drama series that premiered on Star Bharat . The series is based on the life of Hindu deities Radha and Krishna. The roles of Krishna and Radha are played by Sumedh Mudgalkar and Mallika Singh respectively. It completed thousand episodes in 2022 and is listed among the longest running television series of India.

People love the track of the show and the chemistry that Sumedh and Mallika share.

Sumedh Mudgalkar is an actor, as well as a dancer. He is best known for his work as Shushim in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. He made his acting debut in Channel V’s Dil Dosti Dance. Sumedh next moved to the Marathi film industry and was a part of a few films.

TellyChakkar recently got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights.

The show Radha Krishn has been on for four years now. How has the journey been for you?

“The journey has been great. This show is the reason for all the love I am getting from people on my birthday, any special occasion, and my parents are proud. In all aspects, the show has given me the greatest boost I have ever seen in my life. Maybe in a few years I will be able to tell you exactly how it was but right now it is pretty special. We just keep on working currently. We all know that a show will not last forever, I don’t know when it will end but I know that these days are never coming back. These special days of Radha Krishn working together portraying this wonderful character, being a part of this wonderful show, are not going to come back.”

How does it feel playing a mythological character and how do you prepare for it?

“I think it all goes down to the very first time you play it so then you have to really understand the characteristics, the points which you have to portray. I try to feel those points which I think are important in the character. I try to imbibe the character traits in me and feel the character as much as possible. I keep researching for my character. You tend to do so initially and later you get the hang of it and it becomes a routine. It is then not about creating a new character; it is about giving the best shot every time you can and every single day. But doing that consistently is quite difficult.”

How is your bond with Mallika Singh?

“I think we are quite good in terms of the chemistry we share on-screen, the way we perform. We know each other in terms of our lives, struggles and journeys. We are quite different but are supportive in our own ways. She is one of the most comfortable actors that I have worked with till now.”
