MUMBAI : Step into a world where magic and emotion collide in a breathtaking blend of fantasy and romance with Shemaroo Umang’s new supernatural show, ‘Shamshaan Champa’, premiering Today! The show features the versatile actress Monalisa as Mohini, and the talented actors Trupti Mishra and Ayush Shrivastava as Champa and Vikram respectively. With an all-star cast including Mohammad Nazim, Tia Gandwani, Indrajeet Modi, and Yash Bhatia, ‘Shamshaan Champa’ is set to enchant the viewers with its blend of fantasy, romance, and compelling storytelling.

Gul Khan, celebrated for her work in the desi fantasy and supernatural genres, offers a new take on the concept of a daayan through ‘Shamshaan Champa’. The series chronicles the life of Champa, a kind-hearted small-town girl whose life takes a mysterious turn when a twist of fate leads her to revive as a powerful daayan. What unfolds is a narrative in which, against all odds, she chooses to use her newfound powers for good. This series promises an epic journey of wonder and unexpected twists.

Monalisa, reflecting on her role, shared, "I’m so grateful for the love and appreciation from fans for my portrayal of dayaan in my last show! That’s why I’m thrilled that Gul Ma'am envisioned me for the role of Mohini in Shamshaan Champa. Mohini is absolutely mesmerizing—she’s fierce and stunning! I’m in love with her look, from the elegant slit dress to the dramatic thigh chain. A big shout out to the creative and costume teams for crafting such a fresh and exciting appearance. I’m sure the audience will be captivated and a bit awed by Mohini!"

Trupti Mishra, excited about her role as Champa, said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to step into the shoes of Champa in Shemaroo Umang’s ‘Shamshaan Champa’! Playing this character is a dream come true. Champa is a sweet, small-town girl who, despite becoming a daayan, stays true to her kind-hearted nature. Even with her newfound powers, she remains compassionate and thoughtful, always considering the impact of her actions. I can’t wait for everyone to see how this unique blend of innocence and strength unfolds. It’s going to be an incredible journey!”

Ayush Shrivastava, stepping into his first lead role as Vikram, added, “Shamshaan Champa, is my first tv project as lead, and working with Gul Ma'am has been such a rewarding experience. Being cast early gave me two months to prepare, which was a great advantage. Vikram is an intense, protective character, and while I naturally connect with his family loyalty, portraying his fiery side has been a challenge for me since I’m usually quite calm in real life. I’m giving it my all and can’t wait for the viewers to see it. I’m eager to hear what they think and hope they enjoy watching Vikram as much as I’ve enjoyed bringing him to life!”

‘Shamshaan Champa’ is set to make a significant impact as a standout addition to Shemaroo Umang’s diverse programming lineup. With its blend of romance, fantasy, and compelling storytelling, the show promises to captivate audiences.

Tune-in to the premiere of Shamshaan Champa on August 20, 2024, airing Monday to Saturday at 9:00 PM, exclusively on Shemaroo Umang. Don’t miss this extraordinary narrative that blends romance and fantasy in an unforgettable way.
