Later, he entered the Bigg Boss Season 16 house as a contestant, playing the game well. He emerged as one of the strong contestants on the show. His game was liked by the audience and he was considered one of the best players of the show. Be it his fights with Archana and Priyanka or his friendship with Abdu Rozik, he had been a hot topic inside and outside the house.

Shiv has a massive fan following and when earlier a lady who gave birth named her baby after Shiv, another has now gotten his face tattooed his face on their arm. Reacting on the same, Shiv said, “It's heartwarming that people love me, but when gestures become extreme, there's a fear that a small mistake might hurt them. It creates tension and pressure. If you love me, support my work. I just need your blessings because in today's world, blessings are precious.”
