Shobhna Desai Productions, who entertained one and all with a fabulous trend-setter family drama Ek Mahal Ho Sapnon Ka years back, gets back to the competition of numbers in the TV industry.
Acclaimed Producer Shobhna Desai had been on a hiatus from producing shows, post her stint with Colors for Mukti Bandhan.
Now, the production house has been sanctioned a show for Life OK, which will be based on a UP setup. It will be something on the lines of the popular Doordarshan show, Nukkad, with the focus on people having a lower income. The working title of the show is presently Kalyug.
Well, coming to the cast, we hear that the channel and maker have locked the lead cast.
Popular faces from Channel V, Jatin Sharma and Vinti Idnani will play the leads.
As per a reliable source, “The maker was looking for apt faces to fit into the beautifully etched characters. As always, the roles in this new show of Shobhna Desai will be wonderfully crafted with a realistic essence to it. Jatin and Vinti will be playing the leads.”
We tried contacting Jatin and Vinti, but could not get through to them.
We tried talking to a spokesperson of Shobhna Desai, but did not get any revert.
Our efforts to get a confirmation on the same from the channel proved futile.
As we know, Jatin received good popularity as Harsh Vardhan Sisodiya in Channel V’s The Buddy Project, and later went on to play a cameo in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha while Vinti’s stint as Dil Dosti Dance’s Vishaka is still alive in her fans’ hearts.
