MUMBAI: Imlie has been one of the most successful shows on television and has done well on the TRP charts since it hit the screens. 

The show has taken a 20 year leap for the third time and now the story revolves around a grown up Imlie and Agastya.

The show began with Imlie - Aditya and Aryan then post the leap it became the story of Imlie - Atharva -  Cheeni and now once again, the show took a leap and now the storyline will revolve around Imlie and Agastya.

The show is produced by Gul Khan under the banner of 4 Lions Films. 

Imlie is a very strong and pure character and the way Adrija Roy is potrating it, the audience’s love it.

But, did you know that before the makers finalized Adrija Roy, the role was offered to many actresses who refused the role.

1. Fenil Umrigar

Fenil is a known actress of television and she is best known for her role in serials like Rajaa Betaa, Best Friends Forever? etc. She was offered the role of Imlie but she declined because she is busy with some other commitments. 

2. Ragini Khanna

Ragini is a big name in the television industry and she has been there for more than two decades. She is best known for her roles in serials like Sasural Genda Phool, Gurgaon etc. She declined the offer of Imlie as she had some professional commitments. 

3. Helly Shah

 Helly is a well known actor of television and she is best known for her roles in serials like Swaragini, Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 etc. She was offered the role of Imlie but she rejected it as there was some disagreement between her and the makers of the show. 

4. Vidhi Pandya

Vidhi is an actress of television and is best known for her character in serials like Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye, Udaan and Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2 etc. The reason she refused the offer of Imlie is still unknown.

Well, in the end, the role was bagged by Adrija Roy. Fans feel she is the perfect choice for the role and no one could do justice to Imlie the way she did.
