MUMBAI: Sudhir Yaduvanshi was seen in The Voice India. He is now an independent artist who has worked on jingles for several brands. He has featured in the top 100 of shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Rockstar, and Dil Hai Hindustani.
Now, amidst the controversy about reality shows being fake after Amit Kumar revealed that he was asked to praise the contestants on Indian Idol 12, the singer has shared his own experience.
He says, "As I was a part of 2-3 reality shows, I have learnt a lot in detail about it. So I know what is going to happen next. It's all a TRP game. Not everything you see is true. It's true for some contestants. Many contestants who genuinely belong to low and middle income families, work really hard to reach that position but many times are overshadowed by people who aren't what they say they are."
He adds, "Sometimes stories are cooked up. I was asked to change my story a little bit, but I refused to do so. I think it's done to seek attention and hold your audience. Especially in this quarantine period, when shoots of many shows are disrupted, makers try to stretch the existing shows as much as they can."
