A page from the personal diary of Pooja Pihal Hello everyone, this is Pooja Pihal whom you all will soon see as Damini Grover in the upcoming show Hum Aapke Hain In-Laws on SAB TV. Before I embark further, let me give a brief insight about myself. I am an aamchi Mumbai girl and I am a complete foodie and love cooking at any given place and time. Acting is passion for me and the most important check that I always perform before signing a contract is to see that my role is not a negative one. For me, shooting is a platform of fun, talent, masti and it is the only place where one comes across ample of precious moments. I tend to confuse myself while thinking about precious moments on the sets, but once they start coming then there is a long queue of thoughts. A recent one is on top of my all achievements. Recently, as I was stepping home after watching Son of Sardaar and I was shrouded with the thought of working on a similar concept because the film influenced me a lot. Then, suddenly, I got a call from Miloni Pictures (production house of Hum Aapke Hai In Laws) offering me the lead role of Damini Grover. For your kind information, I am well-known as a dancer on the sets of Hats off Production’s Ek Doosre Se Karte Hai Pyaar Hum. Once it so happened that we had to reach the sets by 7 am for the shoot. But once on the sets, I was feeling very sleepy. To make myself come of my slumber, my director Sameer Kulkarni used to make me dance on the Char Baj Gaye song from Faltu. To my amazement, everybody on the sets used to enjoy my dance. The funniest but the most awkward moment for me was the pool party thrown by Ankita Lokhande, the lead female actor of Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta. Ankita used to always tell me that she would throw me in the pool. In order to save myself from such an incident, I tried a number of ways to avoid the same, but failed all the time. In fact, Sushant and Ankita used to together push me in the pool. My moments are something which make my day precious; they add essence to my day, whether working or not. Now-a-days, I am really very happy being a part of Hum Aapke Hai In Laws. It’s a place where I have learned how to be in a family and how to respect elders. This is one show where all of us actors stay as a family with nobody preferring to stay in a Vanity Van. My roles in each and every show have given a new direction to my career. Like my role as Damini or Monikangana in Ek Doosre… or Shravani in Pavitra Rishta. In fact, there is no show that has not helped me imbibe something from it. Lastly, I’m really gung-ho playing Damini Grover in Hum Aapke Hai In Laws. The concept is far different than Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi; on the other hand it is just the opposite of it. The show is full of humor in which you will find complete madness kind of love among the in-laws who fight for showing up their love to the newly married couple. Finally, let me sign off but not before thanking you all for your kind support and love. And may I also request you to watch Hum Aapke Hai in Laws in which you will find me trying my utmost best to make you all laugh.
