Shubhaarambh Going Off Air: ''I Want To Play A Lead Who Doesn't Lose His Lady Love', says Shagun Pandey

Shagun Pandey recently made an entry in the show, Shubharambh. However, now it's going off-air. The actor shares his view on the same and his journey

MUMBAI: Colors TV hit show Shubhaarmbh is all set to go off air leaving many fans heartbroken. The show which starred actors like Mahima Makwana and Akshit Sukhija in lead characters will shoot their last day this month. The show which went on air in December last year saw the entry of Shagun Pandey recently as he entered as Rani's (Mahima Makwana) former lover. With the show ending in such a short span of time after Shagun's (Dr.Mihir) entry, the actor is definitely disappointed. Shagun said in an interview "It's heartbreaking for me as I got a really short time to entertain the audience with this character as an artist. I shall miss this beautifully layered character for how stylish, sophisticated yet intensely grey it was. But I also understand that longevity is never defined."

Shagun learned about the news of the show going off air while he was shooting for his climax scene before his character goes for a leap, "I came to know about this development when I was working on the end of the first schedule of my role before leap (Mihir Doshi) in the show. I recall the news of the show going either on leap or off air came in when I was working on the climax with an intense vibe."

I want to play a main lead now where I don't have to snatch somebody else's love," says Shagun. "In all of my shows, I have fought for the character of my lady love but lost it to the hero, hence I plan on portraying the lead who wins his lady love in my next .... haha." Sharing his reason for what made this show go off air, Shagun says, "I think I am no one to judge what went wrong for there is no perpetuity in television. Every show runs its course on varied factors. Sometimes people love your show and sometimes they don’t. It failed to strike the interest of the audience post lockdown causing the plug to get pulled and that’s about it."

Shagun was also in news for entering as a contestant in Bigg Boss 14 house and now when we quizzed him about the same, he replied, "As an artist, we get a lot of work of which some materialises and some doesn’t. One refrains from divulging into details of the ones that are done and dusted in either cases to deliver better in the future. All I can say is that the nature of my profession is to delve through the hearts as a performer and I just aim at reaching that level to sum up."
