MUMBAI: Under the twinkling stars, the Gokuldham men gathered at Abdul’s shop for their nightly banter. Noticing Mehta Saab’s absence, Jethalal called to check in, asking about his whereabouts. Mehta’s reply about being at home drew playful teasing, leaving everyone chuckling.
Jethalal soon revealed the reason for the call; there was an issue with Popatlal. When Mehta arrived, he suspected it was yet another matter concerning Popatlal’s marriage. Offended, Popatlal questioned why every problem in his life had to revolve around his bachelorhood. Iyer’s cheeky remark about his track record sparked laughter all around.
Yet, the question lingered: was this a new issue or something familiar?

Recap of the previous episode: As Jethalal and Bapuji discussed his Himalayan getaway, Tapu barged in, accusing Jethalal of quietly retiring. Bapuji chuckled, explaining it was just a short holiday with the Mumbai Electronics Association, and he’d run the shop with Tapu’s help. Tapu grinned, declaring himself ready to take over permanently.
The next morning, Babita and Iyer arrived with rasgullas. On hearing about the trip, Iyer cheekily asked if it was a one-way ticket. Jethalal, flustered, invited Babita along before realizing it wasn’t allowed. He quickly said that let me go first after that, everyone from the society will take a trip to make up for it.
At the shop, Natukaka and Bagha were ecstatic to see Bapuji and Tapu in charge, calling it a “once-in-a-lifetime” event and demanding a group photo. Between bites of rasgullas, Jethalal gave them survival tips for handling the shop’s quirks. Natukaka confidently reassured him.
As Jethalal was about to leave, a nagging question lingered: would the shop run smoothly, or was it the calm before the storm?
