The hottie British Indian Bigg Boss7 (Colors) contestant Sofia Maria Hayat who has filed a police complaint against co contestant Armaan Kohli for physical assault in the house rubbishes allegations that she is doing all this for publicity. “Those who think so are disgusting people for I don’t need a name. I am an already an established artist back home in England where my recent film has won BAFTA nomination,” says an angry Sofia.
Explaining her action, Sofia who also has done a Bollywood film Diary of a Butterfly says, “I have taken legal action for what Armaan did was wrong to me and to all women. You can’t get physical with anyone. I had been abused as a child, then I was helpless but not anymore. A message needs to be given to women, they can also fight back.”
Sofia seen on desi TV as a judge on Super Dude 2 (Bindass) and Welcome - Baazi Mehmaan-Nawaazi Ki (Life OK) here adds, “After Armaan hit me with a broom and Bigg Boss refused to take action against him, I had made up my mind to leave. But Bigg Boss asked me to stay back till Saturday. I guess violent and aggressive Armaan was insecure about me and used this method to get me out. I am sure had stayed on I would have reached the top 5.”
Sofia’s full of praise for the Santacruz police (where she filed the FIR) for their co operation. “I have full faith in the Indian judicial system that I will get justice. However if I don’t, I will have to approach the British High Commission, as I am a UK citizen.”
In closing, Sofia shares that she did not contact Bigg Boss production house Endemol or Colors before filing the complaint, “It did not involve them. Neither have they contacted me” she ends.
The battle is on!!!
